Manoshakti – Mind Mastery with Meditations
Online Course with Swamini B (Swamini Brahmaprajnananda Saraswati, Ph.D.)

Unlock the Power of the Mind in the Light of Vedanta
Every day we navigate conflicts at the level of family, work, society and even in one’s mind. Modern psychological approaches treat the symptom well but keep people languishing in therapy for years.Increasingly people are seeking the practice of mindfulness and Yoga which help and have their roots in the Vedic tradition.
However, even these approaches often miss three key elements:

  •  the foundation of Dharma to live a harmonious life
  •  the understanding of God/Ishvara as the cosmic order of our mindscape
  •  an enquiry into the meditator that is ever present in all types of meditations

Amrtabindu Upanishad reveals that the mind is the cause of both bondage and liberation. How can we transform our relationship with the mind such that it does not bind us but leads us to the truth?
In the light of Vedanta, we progress through three stages:

  •  First stage - My mind which felt like a problem to be fixed is now my friend.
  •  Second stage - My mind is an instrument, a glorious gift from God/Bhagavan. True to itsname (antah-karana-inner instrument) I use it as and when required for my different pursuits.
  •  Third stage - I, chaitanyam (Consciousness) illumine my mind and do not judge myself onthe basis of the conditions of my mind.

Key themes:

Dharma and your relationships – If one is consumed and obsessed by wealth, relationships or career then hurt, burnout and emotional exhaustion is inevitable. We discover the timeless wisdom of Sanatana Dharma which can be the centre of one’s life such that one can be loving and peaceful while having it all – wealth, relationships, career, health etc.

Befriending the mind and healing the inner child – Everyone has an inner child who felt helpless, hurt and abandoned. If not integrated with the adult, the person can be reactive and get triggered easily. We walk through the corridor of our life memories and integrate the adult with the child who has always been open, curious, playful, easily delighted and spontaneous.

Knowing the ways of the mind - There is a method to the madness. We see how every emotion including the so-called negative ones are gifts from Bhagavan and the wisdom they whisper while aligning our thoughts with reality. I use the mind as an instrument for living a full life.

Karma and aligning with reality – When one becomes an instrument of the divine through Karma Yoga then one can appreciate the fullness of oneself – free, unchanging, boundless.
