The Arsha Kula Foundation is delighted to present the Ayurveda Academy - a structured, year-long online programme of study under the direct guidance of Dr Parthasarathy, one of the most respected Ayurvedic scholars and practitioners teaching today.
This course brings together the depth and rigour of classical Ayurvedic knowledge with the accessibility of an online platform - allowing students from anywhere in the world to study systematically, at their own pace, with the support of live sessions throughout.
What you will study
Year 1 covers six core modules, moving from the philosophical foundations of Ayurveda through to practical daily life - diet, digestion, daily routine, seasonal living, and ethical health. The full curriculum is as follows:
Module 1 - Orientation, Philosophy of Health, Sanskrit & Basic Principles
Module 2 - Agni & Aahara: The Fire of Transformation and Science of Food
Module 3 - Dinacharya: The Rhythm of the Day
Module 4 - Ritucharya: Living with the Seasons
Module 5 - Three Pillars of Health: Aahara, Nidra, Brahmacharya
Module 6 - Sadvritta & Adharaneeya Vegas: Behavioural Health
The course concludes in Week 49 with a final assessment and a certificate upon completion.
How the course works
Each module follows an alternating weekly rhythm. In the first week of each pair, you will have access to two pre-recorded video classes. In the second week, Dr Parthasarathy hosts a live Satsanga on Zoom - a guided discussion and Q&A session - giving you the opportunity to go deeper into the material and ask questions directly.
Live Satsangas take place twice a month on Wednesdays at 2.30pm UK time.
Content is released module by module and unlocks in sequence, so you can progress through the course at a steady, sustainable pace. All material is available to read and watch within the portal, downloads are not available.
About Dr Parthasarathy
Dr. R. Parthasarathy is a practising Ayurveda Vaidya and the Medical Director of Swami Dayananda Jayavarthanevelu Ayurvedalaya (SDJ Ayurvedalaya) in Anaikatti, Coimbatore. He completed his 5½-year Ayurveda training at the esteemed Ayurveda College of Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (AVP), affiliated with Dr. MGR Medical University. He later earned a postgraduate “Good Clinical Practices” certification from FRLHT-IAIM, Bangalore, achieving top ranks.
In 2014, Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati entrusted Dr Parthasarathy with the independent responsibility of establishing SDJ Ayurvedalaya under the Sruti Seva Trust. Before this, he led the International Training Academy and the Mangarai Branch Hospital of Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (AVP). He also served as Course Director for programs conducted in partnership with universities and institutions in Brazil, Chile, Japan, Switzerland, the USA, Argentina, Spain, Indonesia, and India.
Dr Parthasarathy is fluent in Sanskrit and actively promotes the language as a Trustee of Samskritha Bharathi, Dakshina Tamilnadu. He has also completed a course from Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi.
His passion for authentic Ayurveda inspired him to found “Ayurveda Upadesa,” an online learning platform focused on presenting undiluted concepts of Aahara and Vihara.
Over the last 17 years, Dr. Parthasarathy has delivered over 5,000 hours of lectures on Ayurveda to more than 10,000 participants, including Ayurveda and allopathy doctors, health professionals, researchers, students, and officials like IFS officers in the Ministry of Environment and Forests. His extensive travels to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, France, the USA, and the UK have fostered global interest in Ayurveda. He has also conducted numerous short- and long-term courses at medical universities in South America and India.
In 2013, the National University of Medicine, Rosario, Argentina, recognized Dr. Parthasarathy as an “Illustrious Guest” for his two-week workshop on “Integrating Ayurveda in Daily Medical Practice,” attended by 150 doctors.
